AHHH!! i think i did well for my service proficiency test!!!!!!! i am so happy that i feel like flying up to the sky and become fireworks!

there were 3 stations - setting a table of 4, serving a table of 4, clearing a table of 4.

my first station was clearing which was in charge by Mr Goh. i was extremely nervous and with kenneth (mr pro and perfect) beside me, i was practically hyperventilating.

i was stupid, or should i say Mr AHEM-YOU-KNOW-WHO-YOU-ARE was irresponsible. i went for the extra practice during holidays and i was taught to wipe the table in a circle, irregardless of the gender. but mr goh corrected me just now, saying that it was wrong. he also said that i handled the cutleries dangerously. even tho the table was empty, i should be professional enough to pretend that there are "customers". i think i passed this station but i think i will fail myself. i believe i have got the ability to do better. i was too nervous and MR AHEM ruined me too. i cleared the table using 2 mins 58 seconds! whoot.

my second station was a BLAST! i set up the table very quickly and neatly. mr sim was happy with my performance. the very one thing i did wrong was to touch the napkins too many times, which was said to be unhygienic. learned my lesson, but i still think i did very well in this station (:

my third station was a joke. mr daniel chia was in charge and serving an empty table made me look so weird. like talking to the air....

"sir, here is your bah bah bah bah bah"
"do be careful, the plate is hot."
"enjoy your meal."

i always wonder why must chef give such a longggg name to the dishes.

for example... a plain chicken rice can be....

"Thailand pearl white pure rice, slightly roasted with australian honey garnished with fresh green spring onions and light soy sauce."

HAHA.

but overall, i think i did okay. better than what i expect. i expect myself to be a clown, banging into this and that and end up in tears AGAIN. but i did not!

AND i did not even feel like crying even when mr goh scold me many times today.

in the 'salt and pepper room' for being untidy when arranging the menu files.
and for having 2 super duper obvious strands of hair floating around at the back.
and for not following the rule of serving female guests first.

i think i am more thick skinned now! so happy!
