CRANKY!

Wednesday, August 25, 2010 Y 10:03 PM

yes or no?

been very caught up with issues that require me to make tough decisions. I want to hold everything close to my heart, yet greed leaves no space. Like what the Boy had just said, don't be selfish. I have to agree with him. It is not about me, and me only. It is about us, about everyone in my life.

But deep down in my heart, I want the world to change for me. So that I can have everything going according to my plans, my great great plans I have made for myself and people around me. Selfish? Yes, very.

Guess I have to think it through, whether I really want this, and if money is really the priority. No doubt, money is important. Without money, there will be no house, no car, no shopping, no certificates, no luxuries. But hey, is it going to lead my life? Am I going to run after it for all my life?

Tell me I'm not ambitious. I used to be, but no longer. Because I have spent 5 years of my life living for money. Frankly speaking, I don't like it. Of course, I'm not going to be a useless worm leeching on the society lah. But, I just want to live by the saying '錢夠用就好'.

But can I?

p.s: on second thoughts, how does one define 夠用?

today, the girls said: when you are in love, you lose your senses. You whine and beg, and make silly logic. You can't make it perfect, oh, don't you know it. This is how this game works, be ready or lose it.

She is a stubborn girl but she has to agree.

And so she said: when I wake up, this game shall end. I'll wave my flag and count to ten. With the keys in my hand, I will make a plan. The heart is now safe, so tell me where I am.

what a story!

winter is almost over!!!!!!! *pull hair out and give a miserable look* I'm now making plans to move to Tasmania, Greenland, Antarctica, or where it can be cold forever. It's 19 degrees celsius now. Where is the I-wanna-cuddle-the-whole-day-in-the-blanket 10 degrees celsius? :(

Something scary happened last night. Jing Ting, Qiao Fei and I were watching Dream team (some Korea variety program) during dinner and something drastic happened to Qiao Fei's favourite dude. Guess what.

she screamed like someone is about to rape her or something.

about 2 minutes later, one huge Hagrid-looking man came knocking on our door. He looked drunk, and yes, HUGE. So tall that he was almost touching the ceiling.

like this! scary or not!

The first goddamn thing that came to my mind was: omg, he is here to kill us.
The second goddamn thing was: shit, did we lock the door?
The third goddamn thing was: where should I hide if he dashes in?

Hagrid: *mumbling*
Me: ERM, IS OUR DOOR LOCKED? (in mandarin so he won't understand)
QF: YES LOCK LIAO LOCK LIAO.
JT: Yes?
Hagrid: *rambled something incoherently*
JT: *walk over to the door* Sorry?
Hagrid: are you girls alright?
Me: OMG, IS HE DRUNK? DID WE LOCK OUR DOOR? (as you can see, I was very concerned if the door was locked that I needed a second confirmation.)
JT: Yes, we are fine, we are just watching a video.
Hagrid: *awkwardly* erm okay.

so, in the end, he wasn't here to kill us. He is just a kind soul (we believe he stays in Unilink too) who came to check if we were fine.

ALL BECAUSE OF QIAO FEI'S 12476325434-DECIBEL SCREAM.

verdict: jingting and I have decided to seal qiaofei's mouth with a masking tape from today onwards whenever we watch videos.

p/s: spoken to jingting a minute ago after writing this post. she said she told psuan and perlin about yesterday's incident and psuan said she has never seen anyone as described. maybe he is really a killer.

p/p/s: maybe he didn't carry out his plans because the door was locked.

Gosh, mega body ache today after 3 hours of soccer last night. zzz. I played with my life okay, and we scored the last winning goal. ohlay, ohlay, ohlay, ohlay! well, actually I could have scored the winning goal, but I kicked the ball in the semi D so not counted :( I can't wait for wed cause it's netball night! Winter rocks my sock.

I just cut Jingting's bangs for her. Now I have one more satisfied customer. hahaha, I think I can set up a salon in unilink. $5 per hair cut? Even gab came today to get psuan to cut his hair.

Anyway, I bought a Snickers on impulse today. It was selling at 99 cents per bar and at that moment I felt that if I miss this offer, I will not be able to face myself for the rest of the day. I ate it all at one go and now I'm having a sore throat. FML! But it was good hanging out with jt and qf today la (: shared some gossips and felt so much better that everyone is on the same boat. woohoo.

okay, gonna go and pack my messy little room.

I'm loving and hating life at the same time.

I totally love how organised I am here. I eat my 3 meals on time. I brush my teeth every night (aha! sometimes I forget when I'm in Sg :P). I clean my room. I sleep well. I get my own room, my own private space. I apply lotion everyday. It's cold here.

But life here is 90% studying. not to forget I'm taking statistics this semester, which totally fuck my life upside down. (sorry, really can't find a better word to describe statistics) oh, did I mention I just screwed up my internship interview? Now I'm gonna be a laughing stock for being the first Singaporean doing Workplace Experience instead of the prestigious Executive Shadowing Program and TRIP. I actually almost peed in my pants talking to 2 sets of blue eyes. They are just so intimidating. Argh, I know what you guys will say... we are all humans, we are all equal, yada yada yada, whatever lah, you guys don't understand.

so these few days, I have been thinking about life. And trying goddamn hard to be positive.

so, wanna know what I have been telling myself constantly these days when I feel dejected?

1. Don't take life so seriously. I will die in like... 50 years later?
2. Don't give a damn what others think about you. Cause no one really gives a damn actually.
3. Don't take people who are messing up your life seriously. Because they don't deserve it.
4. Why would you wanna reduce yourself to a lackey just to mix with the wannabes?

Surprisingly, it works! Try telling yourself something positive everyday.

Okay more about my interview now.

1. I gave the interviewers a FIRM handshake. Hope they notice it.

2. I forgot to address Richard by his name. But I did acknowledge Karen though.

3. They asked me what I will do if my group is rushing project work one day before due date. I said I will be very angry but I will put emotions aside and get things done first. Seriously, I didn't know what I was thinking. I should have gave them the cliche answer like: I won't let that happen in the first place. FML!

4. I think I impressed Richard ONCE. He asked me to read the report in front of me and I told him I have read it before.

5. He asked me how can I manage relationship with people if I were to stay with 4 to 5 people during my internship. I told him it is not a major problem for me because I didn't face too much of an issue staying with my housemates now and when I was in HK. ARGH. I should have said things like COMPROMISING IS GOD DAMN IMPORTANT.

In conclusion I screwed up. Still trying to come to terms with it. I think this is the new low in my university life, given that it has been smooth sailing till today.

Okay, gonna drop my pen here. Lavender oil and sleep.

Miss you mommy, dee dee, niang and boyfriend. (:

okay here it goes.

after almost a year of cold turkey, I'm back blogging (stronger, faster, cooler!) :0

oh wells, life slows down again every time I return to Aust. The weather is nuts - hot and cold all at once. This morning was mad freezing in Ipswich. Yujin came to fetch me and jingting at 6:30am to the airport to pick tommy up. I sorta underestimated the weather and wore a pullover with shorts.

Guess what. I ran back to the comfort of my warm cozy house and changed into a pair of jeans. Cold vapour smoke was coming out of our mouths lor!

The drive to the airport was sick too. The car windows were all misty due to the weather. The sun was rising, the rays were in our eyes, we couldn't really see the road. Made me real giddy and I secretly think I have a sun burnt on my face. Not to forget we were starving. So we got to mac drive-thru after picking tommy up and made him pay for the meal. heh. just kidding.

Anyhow, I'm now back in my cozy li'l room. Perlin and Psuan are both in school now, Qiaofei still catching up on her beauty sleep (she only got home at 2:45am in the morning! bad flight day). Gonna do groceries later in the afternoon with the girls.

sth interesting before i end off this random post.

2 days ago perlin, jingting and i went to a fish & chips store to grab our dinner. we wanted to get a whole grilled chicken and a pack of fish & chips.

Us: Can we have a pack of grilled chicken and a pack of fish & chips?

Lady: Sure but we only have 1 cold chicken left. No more hot chicken. Is it fine?

Us: *among ourselves* huh? cold means frozen? Or uncooked? Why can't they cook it and make it hot?

Lady: So is it fine?

Us: Erm, may I know what do you mean by cold chicken? Is it frozen?

Lady: No, it is leftover chicken from yesterday.

hahahahaha, pai seh only. So, one more new aussie vocab.

But I don't understand why the price of hot and cold chicken are the same. Shouldn't cold chicken be priced cheaper?
