it has been confirmed. guaranteed. chop.

koh shuhan is leaving the expensive tropical island to a polluted yet cooling island called Hong Kong, which is a good 3 hours 45 mins away from our chilli padi island.

koh shuhan will be taking Singapore Airlines, SQ862, on Sept 10. It is an 11:00 am flight at terminal 3. now, there will even be lesser people to send me off. and guess what. mom won't be coming too since she need to work. and all my friends are starting their local internship on the 10th too. double cui. i can just fly off alone.

it's final. i'm spending 5 months with the Four Seasons, getting my ass chewed by managers and directors and chefs, crying my eyes blind, smiling at colleagues who are gossiping behind my back in cantonese, nodding my head when customers say i am an idiot in cantonese. i'll be spending 5 months in Hong Kong, trying to live with the locals by communicating with my very rotten Cantonese. and wth. not to forget i actually wrote i can speak BASIC cantonese in my resume to impress. wth. why did i do that? CUI. totally.

and i heard advices like 'don't speak mandarin. they will think you're from china and will despise you!'.

okayy. so i should speak english?

'NO! they will think you're trying to act angmoh and will find you very proud and arrogant!'

okayy. so... what should i speak?

'CANTONESE!'

but then. i'll come back as a senior with experience with the Four Seasons. it's one of the best hotel group in the world man. what else can i complain? it's worth getting all that terrible treatments because i know i'll eventually gain sth that not everyone is entitled the chance to.

and even if i behave like a loser in that place (even though i'm not supposed to), breaking plates and smashing glasses, i'll be out of that place in 5 months. so, it's like, who cares. i think there is a need for me to operate on my eyes to remove the tearing glands or sth so that i won't cry if anything bad happen. what do you call that, homomo? i don't study biology.

it's exactly 38 days from today. roarness. and i swear this is the beginning of something big.
